The Eternal Placeholder Post of Slackness.

Contrary to popular belief, Shaun is NOT dead. He is NOT lying in a bathtub full of sand on a Tokyo balcony.

Actually I've just been insanely busy... mostly the fun kind of busy, but busy nonetheless.

I'm gonna delete this post soon and put up all my 'saved' blogs just as soon as I can format them, hopefully that'll be around tommorow... or it might be on the weekend, depending on my work/party schedule. Japan's tough that way. :P

Anyway, sorry about the crazy delay... getting on the net was harder than I thought.

Much love world!

Shaun

EDIT: I've put up about half of my archived entries... I'll try to get the rest up over the next few days, I have to go up to Fukuoka tomorrow for a conference but the rest of the story is coming ASAP I promise! Thanks again for writing everyone, I hope you'll all having much fun out there! :D

EDIT #2: Ok, so all my carefully scheduled plans to write, format and post everything I've so painstakingly catalogued are lying in ruins. Most of the problem stems from the fact that my weekdays are pretty busy and although I get the mornings off those of you who know me can attest to the fact that I'm hardly a 'morning person' in the classic sense, the truth is before noon I have trouble summoning enough neurons to make coffee, let alone format pictures and type witticisms. Compounding the problem is the fact that I've spent the last few weekends out of the apartment altogether; I have plenty of fodder for stories, and I try yo keep up with actually writing them all down, but I'm short on posting time. In any case thank you all again for visiting, commenting and generally being awesome. I really do appreciate it. More soon, truly. As some sort of minimal compensation I finally swapped a few things around in the lists on the left. Woo-frickin'-hoo.

Glad to hear you haven't been eaten by Godzilla or that wierd flying turtle thing... or that Akira kid... or those big robots in Neon Genesis, just to name a few possible shaun = dead scenarios :) just make it more interesting than food poisoning from bad tofu burgers :P

Cheers guys! :D Great to hear you're all having a world of fun out there!

Heee... yeah, I'm still dodging the monsters, lucky for me they usually go and trash the local navy base rather than my apartment building.

I'm on skype if ya wanna try and catch me, just search my name and I should come up!

In a crazy stroke of coincidence I just went to a Pirate-party last week! I'll save that story for the blog though. ;)

He's ALIVE!!! Yay!!!

:D

I've started my teaching prac, I'm teaching year 8, 9 and 11 English at Glenunga International! Had my first bout of lessons - they weren't total disasters so that is definitely something to smile about.

Anyway I've got stuff to do before I plan for tomorrow so take care and I look forward to your next installment! Look out for those obsessed fan-mobs!

*hugs*

Shaun! Thanks so much for posting such entertaining information about all of your adventures. I read it all and pissed myself laughing and I'm just sitting here remembering what it was like when I was in Japan for a few months when I was in Year 10 ... good memories. You sound like you're having an awesome time, I'm insanely jealous and wish I was there with you ... I miss the video nights in the serenity that is Adelaide Hills for which Melbourne has no comparison. You sound like you're making the most of the opportunity you have ... making lots of friends and visiting places and seeing things. I'll have to see if I can make a trip over and visit sometime. I'll be reading your blog regularly, so make sure you keep posting! And I expect you to be bi-lingual by the time you get back. ;-)

Take care
~t

(btw, in case you're wondering, I published this comment in an older post, so deleted it and put it in this newest post instead. Oh yes, I'm a technological whiz).

Hey Shaun!

At least your blogs have relevant, interesting details. Mine are all "sometimes I like Japan," "sometimes I hate Japan," "here's some pictures because I'm too tired to write, bleh."

Have you a technologically superior Japanese cellphone yet?

At least one package of oatmeal is yours and you can thank your Scottishness as the sender of said oatmeal is my very rooted-in-Scotland grandma and she wouldn't have it any other way. The only catch is you have to wear a kilt whilst whistling to Roamin' in the Gloamin' whilst eating it. Haha stereotypes.

Let's plan some sort of weekendish excursion soon or something!

Japan.
